Digital emissions reporting for Stena Recycling

Stena Recycling had developed a model to analyse climate emissions linked to waste management and needed a digital service to make it user-friendly and commercially scalable. In collaboration with Vinn Group, a new digital platform was developed, including business development, UX design and technical development. The solution was successfully launched and enabled an international roll-out.

The project required business development, UX and service design, technical development and process improvement in digital emissions calculation. Yalta was responsible for the technical platform and development, Humblebee for UX and service design, while Xvii contributed sustainability expertise and business development.

Final result

The digital service enabled accurate CO₂ reporting and simplified emissions analysis for Stena Recycling’s customers. The solution created new business opportunities through a subscription model and was successfully launched in the Swedish market, with international expansion planned.
